Meg Pedersen (she/her) is the founder of steep & mellow. She's also a dog mom, house plant nerd, and all around tea enthusiast. When she's not saving the world (one box of tea at a time), she can almost always be found outside doing something active with her dog Harley.

What inspired Steep & Mellow?

steep & mellow was created to inspire a more mindful, creative, and sustainable world, all through the power of adaptogens and natural nootropics! By bringing together high-quality teas with premium adaptogens, steep & mellow has created the world’s first functional tea featuring compostable packaging. Started in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, I wanted to elevate the conventional tea drinking experience by creating a brand focused on improving functionality, building immunity, and creating balance in people’s lives.

How would you describe Steep & Mellow to a friend?

At steep & mellow, we create groovy beverages that help promote health, wellness, and environmental responsibility. We've formulated our blends with high quality teas and coupled them with premium adaptogens and natural nootropics. Each of our flavors has carefully selected adaptogens to help support what the body and mind need throughout the day. All of our ingredients are also sustainably sourced from around the globe and housed in completely compostable packaging.

We are an outspoken, fun, and inclusive brand rooted in nostalgia and retro flare. We believe that we have two homes: our bodies and the earth. It's our job to protect and nourish them both to the best of our ability!
