Stefany Nieto (she/her) has built multiple international ventures with long-lasting social impact. Previous to Gwella, Stefany founded Green Iglu, an award-winning food-sovereignty start-up that builds food production facilities in remote communities across Canada, including the Arctic. In her spare time, she leads the entrepreneurship programming for the Women’s Entrepreneurship Hub where she has the privilege of working with newcomers to Canada and low-income women to launch their business ideas.
Peter Reitano (he/him) is a serial entrepreneur and marketing expert. Over the last 10 years he has had the pleasure of working directly with some of the world's largest brands and award winning agencies in Europe, Australia, Canada and the US. As an active participant and early adopter in the tech, wellness and cannabis space, Peter has strong insight into consumer behaviour/trends, and he is a regular speaker at global conferences and industry panels.
Erin Cochrane (she/her) is a mycology specialist with experience ranging from technical mushroom cultivation, bioremediation, sacred space holding, traditional medicinal application, and culinary consumption. She graduated in Kinesiology where her studies focused on the holistic application of lifestyle modifications to improve body function, underlying health conditions, and chronic concerns.
Daniel Sanders (he/him) has a decade of experience researching medicinal mushrooms, biohacking, and cannabis extraction. He graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock for molecular biotechnology with an emphasis in genetics. Daniel has served multiple years on a clinical trial for a neurodegenerative research company and he also helped found and pioneer Marygold Laboratories for the analytical testing of botanicals and ARextracts for the extraction and refinement of botanical products.
What inspired MOJO?
At our core, we are nature lovers with a passion for mushrooms, accessibility and creating. Our journey began when a group of curious individuals (us) sought to reverse-engineer the reported effects of a psilocybin microdose (without the psilocybin). It took us from the forest floor to clinical trials in search of an effective method of boosting energy, focus, clarity, and mood... until we finally cracked the code with Mojo Microdose.
