Isle de Nature
Lynn Power (she/her) spent much of her 30 year career running and transforming agency brands. She has expertise in transforming organizations from top to bottom including capabilities, organizational structure, talent and culture. She recently left the big agency world to create Isle de Nature, a bee-powered luxury home fragrance company that launched in September 2020, and Masami (which you can also find on our site!)
What inspired Isle de Nature?
Isle de Nature was born out of the recognition that today, unspoiled nature is a luxury. Tropical climate change catastrophes (like hurricane Maria in 2017) have ravaged our most fragile islands of nature, putting them at risk. The bee population which we all depend on for survival has also been decimated.
We believe there’s a better way. That nature and luxury can live harmoniously. That scent shouldn’t be toxic. That when humans take from nature, they should replenish.
Our candles are made to be as sustainable and non-toxic as possible. They are a blend of beeswax and soy, made to burn cleaner and smell amazing with a scent that will transport you back to nature island. Our signature fragrance from Dominica, called Pagua Bay, is inspired by the bay leaves that are indigenous to the island. The intoxicating scent of this remote island oasis comes to life in our candles and scent coin, while supporting the honeybees that make it all possible.
How would you describe Isle de Nature to a friend?
Nature is a luxury we should never take for granted. Isle de Nature not only captures the exquisite indigenous scents of remote island paradises, but nurtures those havens by supporting the local bee populations in order to help reinforce and rebuild their populations. Every purchase of Isle de Nature builds more hives in Dominica.
