Fork & Melon

Cheryl Fork (she/her) is the founder of FORK & MELON, an elevated, non-toxic line of hand and body care made with watermelon seed oil. Leading up to the brand's inception, challenges with fertility and pregnancy loss led her to start cleaning up the products she was using on herself and in her home. She had been a beauty/skincare enthusiast for as long as she could remember, and though there were many wonderful non-toxic beauty brands available, she wasn’t able to find some of the everyday products that were 1) made with clean ingredients 2) effective and enjoyable to use 3) looked beautiful in her home and 4) weren’t so expensive that they were only relegated to the guest bathroom. And as these were reoccurring purchases, she also wanted to support a company that was trying to do some good. When she couldn't find what she was looking for, she went on an extensive research journey and learned about the wide-ranging benefits of watermelon seed oil for all skin types. Eventually, FORK & MELON was born. Cheryl’s mission is to bring clean luxury to your daily routine without making it complicated.

What inspired FORK & MELON?

I had started cleaning up my own beauty routine and the products I was using in my home, as my husband and I were trying to start a family. I was looking for some of the more every day products (i.e. hand soap, body wash, etc.) that were safe and effective, luxurious to use and look at, and that weren't priced so high I wouldn't want to keep reordering them. I also preferred to support a company that was trying to do some good. At the same time, I unexpectedly lost my job when I was 6 weeks pregnant, which was followed by miscarriage a few weeks later... an extremely low point in my life. After grieving the loss, I did some soul searching and realized I wanted to try to create the products I had been looking for myself. Eventually, FORK & MELON was born.

FORK & MELON is an elevated, non-toxic line of hand and body care made with watermelon seed oil imported from France. We aim to bring clean luxury to your everyday routine without making it complicated.

I started the company so I could feel safe (i.e. no harmful ingredients) using everyday personal care products, as my husband and I struggled with infertility and pregnancy loss.

At FORK & MELON, we infuse beauty and health into everything we do: the way our products make you feel, our product designs, how we relate to the environment, and the ways we approach the world. FORK & MELON products are manufactured in the USA in a Certified Organic facility that uses 100% wind energy, using only safe, premium, carefully-considered ingredients.
