Taelor Salmon (she/her) is the founder of Cadence Candle Co. and a Washington native seeking to enhance the candle market through scent and sound. After graduating from The College of William and Mary, she became a government contracting small business owner and real estate investor. Her true passion, however, is in creating "experiences in the home." She started Cadence Candle Co. in 2019 with a goal to share her love of candles and music with other people. Nearly three years later, you can find Cadence Candles in Elle, Buzzfeed, and Magnolia, and in stores like Foxtrot, Neighborhood Goods, Vanish Lane, and Macys.com.

What inspired Cadence Candle Co.?

I love relaxing at home with scented candles and music. The feeling created through scent and sound is delightful, and helps me to relieve stress and find peace. My goal is to share this feeling with other people.

How would you describe Cadence Candle Co. to a friend?

Cadence Candle Co. was created to inspire and illuminate your world. Our 9 oz, soy blended candles are hand-poured with music, feeling, and individuality in mind. Each candle scent is made with blended fragrances and is accompanied by a thoughtful, handcrafted playlist (via QR scan). Life is a feeling and healing process, and the energy you can produce through scent and sound is therapeutic.
